Business analyst Assurance

Main responsibilities:

• Analyze and modify existing business processes in the field of life insurance (underwriting, pricing, contract management, claims).
• Collect, formalize and prioritize the needs of business users (actuaries, managers, underwriters).
• Write detailed specifications and user stories, understandable by both the business and technical teams.
• Participate in the design of technical solutions and ensure their adequacy with business needs.
• Provide advice and expertise on the feasibility and impact of applications.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects and developers throughout the project lifecycle (Agile/SCRUM methodologies).
• Participate in functional tests (usertest recipe) and validate the compliance of the developments with the specifications.
• Train and support end users on the new features deployed.

Profile sought:

Training & Experience:

• Diploma from a Grande Ecole d'Ingénieur, in Computer Science, Finance, Actuarial Science or Statistics.
• Significant experience (min. 5 years) as a Business Analyst or Business Project Manager within the insurance sector, mainly on life insurance products.
• A double skill set is essential: a perfect mastery of IT project management methods AND a solid knowledge of the life insurance business.
• Proficiency in process modeling tools (UML, BPMN) and requirements management (JIRA, Confluence).
• Strong skills in data analysis (SQL essential).
• Actuarial knowledge: understanding of the concepts of pricing, provisioning (Solvency II), financial risk management and product valuation.
• Knowledge of the application environment of an insurance company (contract management, product references).
• Knowledge of an actuarial modeling tool is a serious asset.
