BI Engineer & QA

Key Responsibilities:

- Report & Dashboard Development

- Build interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker, etc.).

- Implement data visualizations that follow best practices in usability and storytelling.

- Optimize reports for performance and scalability.

- Data Integration

- Connect BI tools to the data warehouse/Lakehouse environment.

- Write SQL queries and transformations to prepare datasets for reporting.

- Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Modelers to ensure data structures support BI needs.

- Collaboration

- Work closely with BI Lead to translate business requirements into technical BI solutions.

- Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to refine reporting needs.

- Coordinate with QA Data Engineers to validate data accuracy in reports.

- Maintenance, Support and QA

- Monitor BI solutions for performance, accuracy, and availability.

- Troubleshoot issues and implement fixes in dashboards and reports.

- Document BI solutions, including data sources, logic, and usage guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Handson experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker, or similar).

- Strong SQL skills for querying and preparing datasets.

- Familiarity with data warehouse/lakehouse environments (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, Azure Synapse).

- Understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schema, dimensional modeling).

- Experience with ETL processes and how they impact reporting.

- 35 years of experience in BI development or data visualization.

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

- Creative in designing intuitive and impactful visualizations.

- Strong communication skills to work effectively with both technical and business teams.

- Proactive in identifying opportunities to improve reporting and analytics.
