Roles & Responsibilities

As Beverage Manager serving Waldorf Astoria Ras al Khaimah, you will be responsible for managing and assisting all food and beverage outlets according to Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah Service Standard, to consistently deliver maximum profit and guest satisfaction. This position is concerned with the responsibility of the quality, profitability, and sales of the overall beverage experience in the property. Responsible for beverage knowledge training within the property and therefore working closely with the L&D Assistant Director and any external Beverage consultants or suppliers.What will I be doing?As Beverage Manager serving Waldorf Astoria Ras al Khaimah, you will be responsible for managing and assisting all food and beverage outlets according to Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah Service Standard, to consistently deliver maximum profit and guest satisfaction. This position is concerned with the responsibility of the quality, profitability, and sales of the overall beverage experience in the property. Responsible for beverage knowledge training within the property and therefore working closely with the L&D Assistant Director and any external Beverage consultants or suppliers. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:Ensure that all outlets have an updated cocktail and beverage list.Ensure that cocktail recipe cards are available for all cocktails in all outlets. Ensure that costings are done for the entire beverage menu in consultation with Director of F&B Keep an updated master beverage list with costs, selling prices, including cocktails.Ensure that all bar equipment (glassware, fridge, cellars, etc.) in the outlets is in sufficient quantity, in proper working order and cleaned/maintained properly.Work with suppliers and ensure that shipment and storage of beverage bottle is done within the highest standards.Ensure that storage conditions of beverage bottle in the resort (store and outlets) is appropriate.Keep abreast of industry trends and competition and makes recommendations based on competition and industry changes which are to be done quarterly. This includes but is not limited to beverage pricing across the venues.Work closely with Venue Managers and Outlet bartenders towards an always better beverage experience.Build a yearly beverage activation calendar which includes both guest oriented promotions and dinners, as well as team member trainings.Identify and suggest all possible ways to increase quality, range and value for money of the all the food and beverage items available throughout the property.Assist guests to choose cocktails, other beverages and cigars according to their requirements.Seek to minimize costs through correct use and handling of hotel property and equipment. Ensure achievement of beverage revenue and profit plan of the department, detailed in the revenue plan for the year.Set up, together with the Food & Drinks Director, a comprehensive beverage incentive plan for the property to drive upselling potential and to positively drive team moral.Perform periodical micros checks to ensure items are fully updated, in order to produce accurate bills and reports.Assist, whenever required, the cost control team to order appropriate FOC stocks, this to ensure proper stocking.Ensure appropriate stock rotations.Work closely with accounts for the monthly stock take.Work closely with purchasing and store for the order, delivery, and control of beverages received.Be fully aware of the objectives of the property specifically departmental business objectives and targets related to beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.Attend and actively participate in training sessions and monthly communication meetings from the various venuesIn agreement with venue managers, conduct on monthly basis all beverage related training sessions and/or source the appropriate trainer.Together with the venue managers, source, interview and select bartenders according to each venue s requirements.Gather guest feedback to address concerns and improve service.Analyze menu performance to optimize offerings and pricing.Have a positive impact, taking personal responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, always clearly communicating with both guests and colleagues.Actively promote the services and facilities of the Waldorf Astoria Ras al Khaimah to guests and suppliers of the Resort.What are we looking for?As a Beverage Manager serving.
