Roles & Responsibilities

About The Role  


Ensure that all coffees are stored, presented and served to the required standards  


Assist in creating, maintaining and developing all coffee stocks, sales data and coffee menu 


Regularly review the coffee offering in line with the current trends and ensure that the list appeals to a diverse customer base 


Support Outlet Managers and staff in driving the sales of coffees. 


Share knowledge and encourage the team to develop their coffee knowledge further through regular training sessions  


Preparing bar mise en place as per opening and closing checklists   


Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant.  


Assessing bar customers’ needs and preferences and making recommendations 


Is up to date with latest drinks and cocktail fashion, mixes as per standard, controls and checks quality of ingredients, follows recipes 


Follows all hygiene requirements ISO, monitors cleanliness in his work area and ensures cleaning of those areas as per standards   


Liaise with L&D department to provide structured content for wider trainings 


Responsible for assisting and ensuring that the beverage sales forecasted for the outlet are met 


Gather guest preferences and record it in seven-rooms (restaurant reservations system) under the “Coffee” segment/tag 


Contribute to a positive food safety culture and comply with the O&O FSMS & Codex HACCP and Dubai Municipality food safety requirements.  


Ensure honesty and integrity in the way tasks are executed and records maintained.  


Report immediately to the immediate supervisor on any concerns that may be observed or realized which may affect food safety.  


Maintain an interest in food safety matters, actively participate in food safety training and be aware of all the control measures and record keeping for which they are directly responsible.   


Any other duties as assigned 


About You


2 years’ experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel or restaurant 


Understand the origin of coffee and how to categorize as per the industry grading models 


In-depth theoretical knowledge regarding regionality, cultivation, history, ceremonies, steeping and temperatures. 


Able to manage inventory accurately and efficiently 


Working with high volume restaurants is preferred 


Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills 


Committed to and passionate about the food and beverage industry 


Willing to work flexible hours 


Experience MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, POS systems, Restaurant Reservations Systems
