Barge Engineer (Second Engineer) Job Description Job Overview
Seeking qualified Barge Engineers (Second Engineer) for landbased/shore-based positions in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidates will ensure the safe and reliable operation of barges, providing technical expertise and operational oversight while adhering to company policies and industry standards.
Responsibilities-
Oversee barge reliability and safe operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Provide daily operational guidelines to direct reports, fostering efficient and safe marine operations.

Demonstrate excellent knowledge of marine operations, including barge/shore interface and technical operations.

Ensure compliance with class survey requirements (ABS).

Support technical operations and maintenance of unmanned diesel barges.

Maintain detailed records of operations, maintenance, and compliance activities.

Collaborate with teams to optimize operational efficiency and safety.

Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in marine and barge technology.

Degree in Marine Engineering or Electrical Engineering with valid documentation.

Minimum of 2 years experience as a Second Engineer in marine operations.

Valid certifications: STCW III/2, STCW VI/1, Certificate of Competency/Proficiency, Seaman Book, and Training & Experience Certificates.

Valid passport.
