Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet customers as they enter the bar, engaging them in conversation and making them feel welcome.
Seating Arrangements: Guide customers to their tables or seats and ensure they are comfortable.
Taking Orders: Take drink and food orders from customers and relay them to the bartenders or wait staff.
Upselling: Suggest additional menu items or specials to customers to increase sales.
Entertainment Coordination: Coordinate with the entertainment staff, such as DJs or live performers, to ensure a smooth experience for guests.
Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure that the bar area and tables are kept clean and tidy at all times.
Handling Payments: Process payments for drinks and food, including handling cash and credit card transactions.
Monitoring Guest Behavior: Keep an eye on customer behavior and intervene if any issues arise, such as unruly behavior or excessive intoxication.
Promotional Activities: Assist in promoting special events or promotions happening at the bar.
Compliance: Ensure that all legal requirements, such as age verification for alcohol consumption, are adhered to.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:
Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for interacting with customers.
Hospitality Experience: Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is preferred.
Knowledge of Beverages: Basic knowledge of different types of drinks and cocktails is helpful.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Professionalism: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the bar's operating hours.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift moderately heavy objects, such as cases of drinks.
