Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist bakers in preparing a wide variety of baked goods, from bread to pastries, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.

  • Measure and weigh ingredients accurately, following recipes meticulously to maintain the perfect balance of flavors.
  • Operate and maintain baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and proofers, ensuring they are clean and functioning correctly.
  • Prepare and maintain work areas, including cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing workstations to uphold hygiene standards.
  • Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, receiving deliveries, and rotating products to minimize waste.
  • Package baked goods for display and sale, ensuring they are attractively presented and properly labeled.
  • Assist in the decoration of cakes, cookies, and other pastries, adding artistic flair to the final products.

Desired Candidate Profile

Basic knowledge on bakery production with minimum 1 year experience.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a culinary certificate or relevant coursework is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of baking principles and techniques, with a passion for creating delicious treats.
  • Prior experience in a bakery or food service environment is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with industry practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring precise measurements and consistent product quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective teamwork and customer interaction.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace.
