Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Design and implement end-to-end data architectures on Azure aligned with business and analytics needs.

Develop and operationalize Medallion / Lakehouse architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) using Databricks and Fabric.

Lead data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.

Define data modeling standards, metadata management principles, and data governance best practices.

Architect scalable data storage solutions including Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Delta Lake, Synapse, and Fabric Lakehouse.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, analytics teams, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-performing data solutions.

Drive cost optimization, security controls, and performance tuning for cloud workloads.

Provide architectural guidance and perform code reviews for data pipelines and platform components.

Desired Candidate Profile

10+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Data Architecture roles.

Strong hands-on expertise in:

  • Azure Data Factory (ETL/ELT, pipelines, triggers, integration runtime)
  • Azure Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, notebooks, cluster management)
  • Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Engineering, Data Warehouse components)
  • Medallion / Lakehouse architecture design patterns
  • Proficiency in SQL, PySpark, and distributed data processing.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling techniques (star schema, dimensional modeling, data vault preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data lineage, security, IAM, and Azure DevOps CI/CD.
