Job Description

Job Description As an Audio Visual (AV) Technician, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audio, video, and lighting equipment at various events and venues. You will utilize your expertise in AV technology to ensure all technical aspects of live performances, presentations, and recordings are delivered to the highest standards. Your role will involve troubleshooting technical issues and collaborating with event organizers to meet their specific AV needs, ensuring every event proceeds seamlessly. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about technology, problem-solving, and customer service, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional audiovisual experiences. Responsibilities
  • Set up, install, and configure audio, video, and lighting equipment for events.
  • Operate technical equipment before and during live presentations and events.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues under time constraints effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with event coordinators and clients to understand AV needs.
  • Run pre-event tests to ensure optimal performance of all equipment.
  • Maintain and service AV equipment to prevent malfunctions or downtime during events.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times.
  • Train other team members on the use and operation of AV equipment.
  • Keep up-to-date with new AV technology trends and innovations.
  • Manage inventory of AV equipment, report losses or damages immediately.
  • Handle post-event tasks, including dismantling and storing equipment safely.
  • Create documentation and reports regarding equipment performance and team workflows.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a similar AV role will be highly beneficial.
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and solve complex issues promptly.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and client interaction.
  • Flexibility to work in varied environments and adapt to changing situations.
  • Proficiency in handling and maintaining AV systems and related technology.
  • Ability to work long hours, including weekends, when required.
