Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Design & Configuration
- Develop and configure Siemens PCS7 Distributed Control Systems (DCS) for industrial applications.
- Create system architecture, control schematics, and detailed design specifications.
- Configure hardware components such as Automation Systems (AS), Operator Systems (OS), and Engineering Stations (ES).
Programming & Integration
- Program Siemens S7 PLCs (including S7-400/S7-400H series) using languages like Ladder Logic, FBD, and SCL.
- Integrate PCS7 with SCADA, HMI, and other automation platforms.
- Implement control algorithms, interlocks, and batch/advanced control strategies.
Testing & Commissioning
- Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Conduct loop checks, cause-and-effect testing, and troubleshooting during commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards (IEC 61511) and cybersecurity practices.
Maintenance & Support
- Provide technical support for PCS7 systems, including diagnostics and issue resolution.
- Maintain system documentation, backups, and implement updates or modifications.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or related engineering fields.
- Experience: Typically 5-10 years in industrial automation, with hands-on PCS7 expertise.
- Certifications: Functional Safety (T V), OT Cybersecurity, or Siemens PCS7 certifications are highly desirable.
