Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Must experience in GRP/GRC production or manufacturing.
  • Develop detailed 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for manufacturing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards and project specifications.
  • Oversee production processes, monitoring workflow, and ensuring efficient resource allocation to meet deadlines and maintain quality.
  • Manage and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and related documents, providing clear instructions to production teams.
  • Prepare and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) and material requisitions, coordinating with procurement to ensure timely material availability.
  • Implement and enforce safety regulations and quality control measures throughout the production process, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Track project progress, prepare progress reports, and provide regular updates to project managers on production status and potential delays.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the quality of drawings and finished products.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with design plans.
  • Develop detailed drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

  • Oversee production processes, monitoring workflow, and proactively identifying and resolving any bottlenecks or production delays.
  • Prepare and manage bills of materials (BOMs) and material requisitions, ensuring timely procurement of necessary components for production.
  • Stay current with the latest AutoCAD software updates, industry trends, and best practices to continually improve skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand design concepts, incorporating feedback to enhance accuracy in drawings.
  • Assist in preparing material take-offs and quantity estimates from drawings to support project budgeting.
  • Participate in site visits to gather field data and verify design feasibility, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Utilize advanced AutoCAD features, such as 3D modeling, to create realistic representations of projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • At least 3 years of experience in GRP/ GRC production unit.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting and production supervision within the manufacturing or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software is mandatory, with a strong understanding of 2D and 3D drafting techniques and modeling.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising production teams, managing workflow, and ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with engineers, project managers, and production staff.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents accurately.
  • Candidates with experience in [specific industry, e.g., metal fabrication, furniture manufacturing] will be highly preferred.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in AutoCAD software, with a strong understanding of 2D and 3D drafting principles and techniques.

  • Fluent in English, with strong communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • A degree/diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field, providing a strong foundation in engineering principles.
