Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Electrical System Diagnosis: Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues in light and heavy vehicles, including trucks, excavators, loaders, and other plant machinery.
- Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs on electrical components such as alternators, starter motors, batteries, wiring harnesses, lighting systems, and electronic control units (ECUs).
- Wiring and Installation: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and circuitry for both standard vehicle functions and specialized equipment.
- Electronic Systems: Work on and repair vehicle computer systems and advanced electronic components.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled electrical inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and fix potential issues before they cause operational failures.
- Documentation: Accurately document all electrical work performed, including diagnostics, parts used, and repair times.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment and secure vehicle operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education: Diploma or Technical Certification in Automotive Electrical Technology or a related field.
- Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Auto Electrician, with proven experience working on a wide range of vehicles and heavy equipment.
Specific experience with construction machinery is highly preferred. - Skills:
Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems and schematics.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and other specialized electrical testing equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
