We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Network Security Engineer to support our network security operations. This role is ideal for early-career professionals with a solid foundation in networking and a passion for cybersecurity. You ll work alongside experienced engineers to help protect our network infrastructure and ensure the secure delivery of IT services across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in configuring, monitoring, and maintaining network security devices including Next-generation firewall (NGFW), VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and network access controls (NAC).
• Support implementation and management of firewall rules, security policies, and network segmentation strategies.
• Monitor network traffic and security alerts, investigating potential threats and escalating as needed.
• Help maintain and improve secure remote access solutions, including VPNs and multi-factor authentication.
• Participate in vulnerability scans of network devices and assist in remediation planning and tracking.
• Work with IT and infrastructure teams to support secure network design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with network security audits and maintain documentation for configurations, changes, and procedures.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices related to network security.

• Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 0 3 years of experience in IT, networking, or security roles.
• Foundational knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and network protocols.
• Familiarity with firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA), VPN technologies, and IDS/IPS systems.
• Basic understanding of security principles and best practices (e.g., least privilege, defense-in-depth).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
