Roles & Responsibilities

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Investment to join a leading investment entity in the UAE. The role focuses on two core areas:
  1. Optimizing the performance of existing portfolio companies
  2. Evaluating and executing new investments
You will play a key role in conducting in-depth financial and industry analysis, supporting M&A transactions, and driving value creation initiatives across portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management
  • Conduct research and analysis on industries and portfolio companies for reviews and investment committee presentations.
  • Support M&A transactions through building financial models, projections, and valuations.
  • Track and support performance improvement initiatives, ensuring measurable impact in collaboration with senior team members.
Investment Execution
  • Conduct due diligence, industry research, and company analysis for new investment opportunities.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuations.
  • Coordinate with third-party advisors for commercial and financial due diligence.
  • Assess investments against broader economic goals (infrastructure development, job creation, GDP impact).
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Interface with portfolio company management, consultants, advisors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Support strong relationships with internal and external partners to ensure smooth execution.
Ratings & Reporting
  • Provide periodic support to the Ratings team with analysis and commentary on RAK Government financial performance.
  • Ensure timely submission of operational and financial information from portfolio companies.
  • Contribute to Investment Committee (IC) and Portfolio Review Committee (PRC) materials and presentations.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA/CFA preferred).
  • 3 6 years experience in M&A within a leading investment bank or private equity firm.
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and data-driven analysis.
  • Proven track record in supporting deal execution and portfolio performance improvement.
  • Excellent research, presentation, and communication skills.
