Job Description

The United Arab Emirates University invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor in Clinical Psychology. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence, student advising, and mentorship at the undergraduate and graduate levels. They should have a well-established research record, including the ability to secure external funding, and a history of publishing in high-impact refereed journals. The candidate is also expected to contribute to the growth and development of the Clinical Psychology program, including leadership roles as appropriate, and actively engage in promoting the broader mission of UAE University. Candidates with expertise in clinical practice, psychological assessment, psychotherapy, and other applied areas of Clinical Psychology are particularly encouraged to apply. Experience in clinical supervision or professional licensure (or eligibility for licensure) will be an asset. The application package should include a cover letter, a detailed resume, a brief description of current and future research activities, teaching philosophy, and a list of courses taught. English is the primary language of instruction and communication. Screening of applications will continue until the position is filled.

Minimum Qualification

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in the applicable field. The ability to teach undergraduate courses is a must. Industrial and professional experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualification

A Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology or a closely related field from an accredited university. A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals in Clinical Psychology. Demonstrated ability to secure external research funding. Experience in teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Expertise in clinical practice, psychological assessment, or psychotherapy. Professional licensure or eligibility for licensure as a clinical psychologist is desirable.
