Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As an Assistant Manager / Manager in Training, you will support the day-to-day operations and gradually take on leadership responsibilities. This role is ideal for someone with strong initiative, a passion for retail and lifestyle concepts, and a desire to grow into a full management role. You will be actively involved in floor supervision, customer service, operations, creative activations, and coordinating with various departments including finance, marketing, and events.
Key Responsibilities:
Retail Floor Support
+ Support the Shop Manager in supervising staff and floor operations
-Ensure high-quality customer service is consistently delivered
- Assist in maintaining store appearance and visual merchandising standards
-Open and close the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager
Operations & Coordination
- Assist with scheduling, stock management, and daily reporting
-Help coordinate flower corner replenishment and daily display upkeep
- Support pottery class setup, customer bookings, and workshop logistics
- Ensure the meeting/office space is ready for use and properly managed
Administrative & Financial Support
- Assist with daily sales reconciliation and POS tracking
- Coordinate with audit/finance team on inventory accuracy and petty cash
-Maintain logs for workshops, space rentals, and bookings
Marketing & Content
- Coordinate with the marketing team for campaigns and social media content
- Participate in PR events and help create behind-the-scenes stories for social channels
- Take part in generating ideas to attract footfall and increase brand visibility
Team Leadership Development
Step into supervisory duties as needed (floor leader, shift
supervisor)
- Take part in leadership training and management meetings
- Shadow the Shop Manager and learn all SOPs and reporting structures
- Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in retail, (caf is a plus) , lifestyle, or hospitality roles
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow into a leadership position
-A good eye for detail and customer service excellence
- Interest in lifestyle retail, design, or creative fields is a plus
- Familiarity with basic social media and content creation is
desirable
Career Path:
-Upon successful completion of the training phase and
demonstrated leadership capability, this role may lead to a
Shop Manager or Concept Lead position.
