Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Responsible for guidance and supervision for all assigned Electronics Workshop employees
  • Plan and oversee the execution of all maintenance activities within the Electronics Workshop, with particular emphasis on navigational, optronic and electronic assemblies, subassemblies and/or components outfitted on a variety of military vehicles.
  • Ensure that all maintenance inspections, servicing, rebuilds, overhauls and repairs are accomplished in accordance with all technical manuals, KPIs and OEM specifications.
  • Develop, implement, revise and enforce all maintenance directives within the Electronics Workshop.
  • Develop, implement, revise and enforce all quality directives as part of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System program.
  • Oversee, monitor and review final inspections performed at the conclusion of maintenance to ensure a quality vehicle, assembly or subassembly is provided to the customer.
  • Review, prioritise and execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) in accordance with SAP PM orders.
  • Change the status from Awaiting Spares to In-Progress Awaiting Spares in SAP when applicable.
  • Monitor and update all daily and weekly reports within SAP.
  • Monitor all direct labour man hours charges to all maintenance orders within SAP.
  • Oversee the storage and disposal of all hazardous materials in accordance with all environmental directives and host country regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, housekeeping and environmental directives.
  • Ensure all issued tools, test equipment and high-value property is maintained in a serviceable condition, routinely inventoried and safeguarded.
  • Ensure that all navigational, optronic and electronic assemblies, subassemblies and/or components spare parts research is performed and that only required spare parts are requisitioned in the appropriate quantities.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all maintenance related documentation is completed in accordance with all maintenance directives.
  • Ensure that all unserviceable direct exchange assemblies, subassemblies and components are returned to the Repairable Store in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Manager, Workshop

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Electrical/ Electronic Engineering required
  • A minimum of four to six years of experience supervising, managing, and/or directing navigational, optronic and electronic maintenance is preferred.

Key Skills :

  • Previous military experience or automotive industry management experience is an advantage, particularly in supervising navigational, optronic and electronic assemblies, subassemblies and/or components maintenance.
  • Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office software and SAP is preferred.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required.
  • Have, or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver s license.
