Job Description

The Assistant Front Office Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of the hotel's front office department. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong aptitude for customer service, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. As the Assistant Front Office Manager, you will work closely with the Front Office Manager to oversee daily operations, coordinate staff activities, and ensure that guests receive exceptional service from check-in to check-out. Your role is essential in maintaining a high standard of guest satisfaction and hotel efficiency, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the establishment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in front office operations and a passion for leading and growing a team in a fast-paced, guest-oriented environment.


Responsibilities
  • Assist the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily hotel front desk operations.
  • Coordinate staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient service.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate front office personnel to maintain service standards.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints and escalations promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure the front office operates smoothly and professionally at all times.
  • Prepare and manage shift reports and ensure effective communication between shifts.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to meet guest needs and expectations.
  • Implement and supervise front office procedures and policies to maximize efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage front office expenses and adhere to budgetary constraints.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to reinforce company policies and service standards.
  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new front office staff members.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for guest inquiries and requests, ensuring satisfaction.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a front office leadership role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with efficiency and professionalism.
