Roles & Responsibilities

Assistant Finance Manager – AED 20,000 + Bonus + Benefits

 

Our client, a global MNC in Beverage industry is looking to hire Assistant Finance Manager based in Dubai, managing financial & Accounting operations in UAE.

 

JOB PURPOSE

The Assistant Finance Manager is responsible for executing day-to-day financial operations in compliance with UAE regulations and internal policies. This role ensures accurate financial documentation, timely payment processing, and effective support for commercial and operational teams.

 

The Assistant Finance Manager plays a critical role in maintaining financial control,

supporting audit readiness and contributing to the overall financial integrity of the company’s UAE operations.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1. Financial Documentation and Record Management

Collect, review, and verify all primary accounting documents including supplier

invoices, delivery notes, customer contracts, payment receipts, credit notes, and

supporting approvals.

Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date physical and digital archives of financial records in accordance with statutory requirements and internal standards.

Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and complete documentation of business transactions.

 

2. Accounts Payable and Receivable (AP/AR) Management

Monitor and control accounts payable and receivable balances, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up on outstanding items.

Conduct regular reconciliations with suppliers and customers, and resolve

discrepancies in collaboration with relevant teams.

Track due dates, payment terms, and issue reminders or settlement instructions as needed.

 

3. Inventory and Cost Accounting

Maintain accurate inventory records, including goods receipts, internal transfers, and stock adjustments in the system.

• Coordinate and participate in periodic stock takes, and reconcile physical counts

against system data.

• Ensure proper cost allocation and valuation of inventory in line with accounting

principles and business requirements.

 

4. Accounting System and Transactions

 

Record all financial transactions in the accounting system (Zoho Books), including

general ledger entries, accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of data entry for daily, weekly, and monthly

financial operations.

Generate and review system reports for internal and external reporting requirements.

 

5. Payments and Cash Flow Support

Prepare payment requests, verify supporting documentation, and ensure timely

execution of supplier and internal payments.

Support the Group Financial Controller in managing cash flow forecasting and bank transaction tracking.

Liaise with the bank and relevant internal stakeholders for payment queries,

confirmations, and reconciliations.

 

6. Tax and Compliance Support

Ensure accounting practices adhere to UAE VAT and tax regulations and support the timely submission of required tax filings.

Assist with external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and

explanation of financial entries and controls.

Maintain awareness of changes in financial regulations and support compliance

initiatives as needed.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

Minimum of 5-10 years of Finance & Accounting experience in the UAE, including handling of VAT and statutory compliance.

Working knowledge of Zoho Books or similar accounting software

Familiarity with UAE financial regulations, including FTA guidelines, corporate tax, and invoicing practices.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with accounting data and

Reports.

High attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing and documentation.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to handle multiple

priorities independently.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross functionally with non-finance colleagues.

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Professional

certification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or CFA is a plus.
