Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist in installing electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, and fixtures, ensuring adherence to blueprints and safety codes.
  • Support experienced electricians in troubleshooting electrical issues, diagnosing faults, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Prepare worksites by gathering materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring a safe and organized working environment.
  • Perform basic electrical tasks such as running wire, making connections, and setting up electrical components under supervision.
  • Maintain and organize electrical tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring they are in good working order and easily accessible.
  • Assist in the inspection and testing of electrical systems to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe work environment for yourself and others.
  • Learn and develop electrical skills through on-the-job training, shadowing experienced professionals, and attending relevant courses.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of existing electrical systems, including replacing faulty components and performing routine maintenance.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of a vocational training program in electrical work is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid electrician's apprentice license or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in the electrical field, such as an apprenticeship or relevant work experience, is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in electrical work.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.
