Roles & Responsibilities
The Assistant Director of Sales is responsible for supporting the Director of Sales in leading the hotel s sales efforts across all market segments. This includes generating revenue through proactive sales strategies, managing key accounts, leading a team of sales executives or managers, and helping to drive business for rooms, events, and F&B services. The role requires strong leadership, relationship-building, and a strategic mindset to help the property meet or exceed revenue targets.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Assist in developing and executing the hotel s sales and marketing strategies across key market segments (corporate, leisure, MICE, travel trade, etc.).
- Manage and grow relationships with key accounts, corporate clients, and travel partners to generate repeat business.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise the sales team, providing coaching, performance feedback, and support.
- Conduct regular sales calls, site inspections, and client meetings to promote the hotel s offerings.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to the Director of Sales and senior management.
- Work closely with the revenue and marketing teams to align pricing, promotions, and campaign strategies.
- Monitor competitors and market trends to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Participate in trade shows, networking events, and sales missions to represent the hotel and expand market reach.
- Ensure accurate and timely use of CRM or sales reporting tools for tracking client activity and pipeline management.
- Act as a liaison between clients and operational departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Hospitality, Sales, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 6 years of experience in hotel sales, with at least 1 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a hotel environment.
- Strong understanding of hotel sales across different segments, including MICE and corporate.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g., Opera, Delphi, Salesforce).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
