Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Assists the Consultant in providing required patient care and management in the field of Radiation Oncology, in accordance with standards of medical care laid down by the Hospital.
  • Provides high-quality patient care in all aspects of Radiation Oncology according to his/her approved clinical privileges.
  • Provides consultation (inpatient, and emergency room) upon request and responds in a timely manner within the prescribed timeframe as outlined in the Hospital s policy.
  • Responsible for the timely completion, competencies, accuracy and legibility of the medical record.
  • Provideson-call service and ensures availability and response time within theprescribed timeframe in accordance with Hospital policy.
  • Conducts daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for discharge. Ensures that discharge orders are written 24 hours prior to discharge.
  • Performs other clinical responsibilities related to the specialty, as assigned.

Academic Responsibilities

  • Providesorientation, bedside training and supervision to interns, residents and fellowsas assigned.
  • Participates in department s educational activities and training programs of the department. Partakes in national and international medical conferences.
  • Maintains and enhances professional knowledge and continuing education requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

Graduation from a medical school in good standing, completion of required period of postgraduate training in a specialty and/or subspecialty, with Saudi/American Board or Canadian/UK certification, or equivalent as outlined by the Medical Staff Credentialing Committee.

Two (2) years of training in specialty or subspecialty plus post-training experience is required.
