Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning, directing and supervising work involved in the receipt, storage, transfer, adjustment, issuance and accountability of U.S. title conventional ammunition, explosives and ammunition components.
- Reviews workload and backlog, plans and schedules work based on priority and makes assignments to, and monitors the daily performance of, subordinate employees.
- Plans, schedules and conduct periodic or special inventory of ammunition with organized inventory team.
- Reviews inventory and take necessary action to correct discrepancies.
- Implement continued improvements of stock control and accounting operations.
- Maintains surveillance over stock control procedures and operations to provide corrective actions for those deficiencies and errors found.
- Coordinates shipment of ammunition. Recommend changes in shipment plan to higher echelons when the storage spaces are not available.
- Maintains close coordination with quality control activity for their necessary action and timely accomplishment.
- Ensure that all the ammunition received or transferred are accurate in quantity and lot number.
- Maintain compatibility and compliance with Net Explosive Weight (NEW) limitations established by the site license.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum five (5) years experience in munitions supply point procedures with demonstrated knowledge of storage/quantity distance procedures as prescribed by DA Pam 385-64 Ammunition and Explosives Safety Standards.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain and DoD Secret security clearance and maintain that clearance level.
- Must have skill sets to enforce all class V regulatory requirements as described in but not limited to DA Pam 385-64 Ammunition and Explosives Safety Standards and DA PAM 385-10 Army Safety Program.
- The Storage Area Operations Supervisor must be fluent in speaking and writing the English language.
- Ability to apply critical thinking skills to complex issues.
- Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to make connections with customers in writing.
- Experience resolving complex issues and escalating internally when appropriate.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain a consistent on-site schedule.
- Be proficient in all applications within the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be a US citizen and be able to be issued a USG Common Access Card (CAC).
- Must be able to be successfully cleared via DA Form 7708 (Personnel Reliability Screening and Evaluation).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Kuwait Driver s license and hold a valid U.S. driver s license.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in ammunition storage, issue, receipt, preparation, safety and accountability procedures.
- Experience in the operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE- example: Forklift, RTCH).
