Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure adherence to Aramco's quality control standards and project specifications throughout all project phases, from inception to completion.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of materials, equipment, and workmanship, generating detailed reports and documenting any deviations from approved plans.
  • Develop and implement quality control plans (QCPs) and inspection and test plans (ITPs), tailored to specific project requirements and Aramco guidelines.
  • Coordinate with project teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to facilitate effective communication and resolve quality-related issues promptly.
  • Perform welding inspections, including visual inspections, and review of welding procedures (WPS) and welder performance qualifications (WPQR), ensuring compliance.
  • Monitor and verify the calibration and maintenance of inspection and testing equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
  • Review and approve vendor submittals, including material certifications, shop drawings, and quality control documentation.
  • Investigate and analyze quality-related incidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive quality control documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and as-built records.
  • Provide training and guidance to project personnel on quality control procedures, promoting a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related field) from an accredited university.
  • Holds Aramco approval as a QA/QC Engineer and has successfully passed the relevant CBT (Computer-Based Test).
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in QA/QC roles within the oil and gas or petrochemical industry, specifically with Aramco projects.
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of Aramco standards, specifications, and procedures, including those related to welding, piping, and equipment.
  • Proficient in the use of quality control software, such as MS Office suite and other relevant applications for documentation and reporting.
  • Possesses certifications such as CSWIP, AWS, or ASNT (Level II) in relevant inspection methods (e.g., NDT).
  • Exhibits strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with project teams and stakeholders.
  • A team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong organizational and time-management abilities.
