Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for our core banking system
- Monitor application performance and proactively identify potential issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve application incidents and service requests during office hours
- Investigate root causes of system issues and implement permanent fixes
- Coordinate with development teams to resolve complex technical problems
- Support business users in resolving technical and functional queries
- Document issues, solutions, and knowledge base articles
- Participate in application deployments and release activities
- Perform routine application maintenance and configuration tasks
- Conduct user training and create support documentation
- Generate reports on application performance and incident trends
- Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met consistently
Required Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Experience supporting enterprise applications, preferably core banking systems
- Good understanding of database concepts (PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- Basic understanding of backend technologies and APIs
- Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business users
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the financial services or banking sector
- Experience with ticketing and incident management systems (JIRA, ServiceNow, etc.)
- Understanding of SQL and ability to write basic queries
- Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, etc.)
- Experience with log analysis and monitoring tools
- Understanding of microservices architecture
