Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

• To provide expertise in modelling and organizing information to facilitate support of projects or information architectures

• The main responsibilities of the Assistant Manager – Open Finance APIs Development are to resolve technical issues, to ensure that all parts of the technical integration are correctly incorporated

• To plan and coordinate the implementation of multiple initiatives related to enhancement of the Banks information systems and processes.

• Identify the best practices for development methodologies and project management

• To ensure all the activities comply with policies & procedures of IT department and the Bank

• Architect and design highly scalable, resilient open finance API platforms

• Define the microservices architecture, data models, and API gateways

• Make core technology stack decisions and document API specifications with tools like OpenAPI

• Serve as a lead engineer, writing and deploying production-level code

• Conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure high quality and performance

• Architect and implement advanced security protocols, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and mutual TLS

• Translate complex financial regulations into technical requirements and ensure systems are consistently audit-ready

• Manage the security posture of the APIs, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing

• Manage team workload and project timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within scope

• Serve as a liaison between the engineering team and product, business, and legal and security stakeholders

• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines

• Plan and oversee the full lifecycle of API projects, from initial requirements gathering to deployment and post-launch support

• To perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by his supervisor

• To deliver solutions as per defined quality standard

• To provide the required support to supervisor & teammate as and when required


Desired Candidate Profile

Education • Bachelor of Engineering / Computer Science or a related field.

Work Experience • Minimum 4-6 years of experience with similar position in a bank.
