Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide daily husbandry, feeding, and care for a range of exotic species.
  • Implement and manage behavioural training and enrichment programmes.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records relating to diet, behaviour, and medical needs.
  • Collaborate with veterinary and animal management teams to ensure optimal care.
  • Ensure enclosures and habitats meet welfare, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Assist with animal handling and transport as required.
  • Promote best practice and maintain the highest ethical standards of animal welfare.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with exotic animals or large cats in a professional zoological or wildlife environment.
  • Educational background or certification in zoology, animal behaviour, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with birds and reptiles is an advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of animal welfare, enrichment, and behaviour modification techniques.
  • Physically fit and confident handling animals safely and professionally.
  • Excellent communication and observational skills.
  • Discreet, trustworthy, and able to work in a confidential environment.
