Aircraft Upcycling Technician

Job Purpose

Support the implementation of aircraft material upcycling/recycling initiatives in line with Emirates? sustainability objectives. Assist the Research and Development team in exploring product innovations through collaboration with mechanics to help develop and improve new upcycled products. Provide creative input during the ideation phase and contribute to solving production related challenges throughout the process.

In This Role You Will:

• Support the execution of assigned upcycling/recycling tasks, including part segregation, tagging, and proper storage. Assist with quality control checks and ensure adherence to health and safety procedures. Contribute to promoting a strong safety culture within the department.
• Coordinate with procurement and vendor teams to support the handling and documentation of recycled components, ensuring effective communication and supporting timely and compliant upcycling operations. Ensure that all materials are processed in line with internal procedures and sustainability standards.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of upcycling and recycling activities, including material types and quantities, and support the preparation of regular reports to track progress. Contribute creatively by identifying new opportunities for upcycling or recycling aircraft materials and sharing ideas with the team to enhance innovation and maximize material reuse.

Qualification

To be considered for the role you must meet the below requirements:

• Vocational or Diploma (12+2 or equivalent)
• Diploma or Technical Certification in Engineering, Technology, or related discipline.
• Experience in aircraft or industrial upcycling operations, with a focus on innovative, creative, and hands-on experience
• Awareness of safety and recycling/upcycling practices.
