Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Plan and oversee planting, fertilization, irrigation, and harvesting schedules.

  • Monitor crop health, identify pests and diseases, and implement control measures.
  • Optimize soil management and crop rotation to maximize yields.
  • Maintain and inspect farming equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Track inventory of seeds, fertilizers, and other inputs.
  • Conduct regular crop inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Implement and enforce food safety and agricultural regulations.
  • Maintain records of farm activities, including production data and input usage.
  • Use precision agriculture tools for soil analysis, irrigation, and yield monitoring.
  • Suggest and implement new farming techniques to improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, agronomists, and government agencies for farm support.
  • Assist in managing budgets for crop production, ensuring cost efficiency.
  • Work with logistics and sales teams to meet market demands.
  • Analyse agricultural data to assess crop performance and yield, providing insights for continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and implement innovative solutions to enhance crop yield and quality.
  • Carry out any other activities as and when required by the reporting manager.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education Level Minimum bachelor s degree in agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, or related field.

Experience

  • 4 years of experience in agricultural sectors.

Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Basic knowledge of fruits and vegetables, their benefits, and storage requirements.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
