Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Account Receivable Executive manages the medical billing process, ensuring timely collection of payments from insurance companies and patients by analyzing claims, resolving denials, and maintaining accurate financial records for healthcare providers.

• Analyze claims that have been denied or rejected and take corrective actions for resubmission.

• Proactively contact insurance companies and patients regarding outstanding claims via phone

calls and web portals.

• Identify denial trends, root causes, and suggest corrective measures to reduce future denials.

• Ensure accurate documentation of claim status, denial reasons, and resolution steps in RCM

systems.

• Work on insurance aging reports to identify and prioritize claims, with the goal of reducing the

number of days in AR.

• Prepare and submit appeals for denied claims, including all necessary supporting documentation.

• Adhere to all company policies and relevant healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA.

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on AR performance, denial trends, and recovery rates.

• Support audit requirements by providing denial data, payer communication, and resolution

records.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all billing and collection activities in the

system.

• Work with the medical billing team to resolve any issues and improve billing processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Strong understanding of US healthcare RCM process, payer guidelines, CPT/ICD codes, and

denials reasons.

• Experience working with various commercial and government insurance payers, such as

Medicare and Mediacaid.

• Familiarity with medical billing software and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with insurance

representatives and patients.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

8:00am to 5:00pm EST
