Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Accountant will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting operations,
managing stock and inventory records, processing payables, and ensuring accurate and
timely financial reporting. The role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills,
and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. General Accounting
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company
policies and accounting standards.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments as required.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
• Support preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures.
2. Stock & Inventory Management
• Maintain and reconcile stock ledgers between physical and system records.
• Monitor stock movements and coordinate with the warehouse and procurement
teams for stock accuracy.
• Conduct periodic stock counts and assist in investigating discrepancies.
• Ensure correct valuation and categorization of inventory.
• Prepare regular inventory reports for management review.
3. Accounts Payable
• Process supplier invoices and ensure timely and accurate payment as per
company policies.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing for all payables.
• Coordinate with procurement and operations teams for invoice verification and
approvals.
• Monitor due dates to ensure no delays in payments and maintain good vendor
relationships.
Desired Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in accounting and inventory management
within UAE.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and payable processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Netsuite/Tally /
QuickBooks / Other ERP system).
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
