Roles & Responsibilities
At Sumerge, our Accounts Payable Accountant is essential for maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions associated with expenditures. This critical role ensures that all vendor transactions are recorded accurately and that payments are processed efficiently. As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will work closely with various departments to facilitate smooth financial operations and promote fiscal responsibility.
The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining financial integrity. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our financial practices align with Sumerge's goals and contribute to our growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely review and recording of vendor invoices with proper documentation and approvals.
- Maintain accuracy in invoice data and general ledger entries.
- Process routine reconciliations for credit cards and bank accounts.
- Facilitate the execution of payments including checks, ensuring completeness of supporting documents, and approvals.
- Manage petty cash settlements on a weekly basis, ensuring proper documentation.
- Verify vendor accounts, process payments, and resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, invoices, or payments.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounts payable or similar accounting role.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.
- Solid understanding of finance, accounting principles, and bookkeeping practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
