Objective

The primary objective of this role is to carry out all accounting activities for Muscat Clearing and Depository . This includes entering all financial transactions into the accounting system and preparing financial reports and statements accurately and on time, in line with company policies, procedures, and international accounting standards.

Financial and Accounting Responsibilities:

• Post accounting entries into the company s accounting system.
• Receive gross payroll data and other cash payments from Human Resources department to record them in the Finance department s system.
• Conduct daily reconciliation of cash receipts against the books to ensure no discrepancies exist.
• Review and reconcile bank account balances in the company's records with the bank statements at the end of each month and perform the necessary adjustments.
• Follow up on the collection of clearing and settlement fees (transfers and penalties) in coordination with the Clearing and Settlement department.
• Draft and review all company revenue claims, issue related invoices and receipts, and follow up on fees for other departments.
• Prepare all financial reports (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) and other financial statements periodically and as required by company financial policies.
• Address any internal audit observations and follow up with external audit firms to ensure a smooth audit process.
• Report any risks or incidents within the department to the direct manager.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the direct manager within the scope of work.

Reporting

• Prepare reports related to accounting and financial management, providing appropriate suggestions and corrective actions to the direct manager.
• Conduct financial analysis on periodic financial reports submitted to the direct manager or senior management.
