Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards, providing insights that drive strategic decision-making.
- Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and accurate record-keeping to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Conduct thorough audits of financial records, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective measures to enhance financial integrity.
- Oversee the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations, minimizing liabilities while maximizing available deductions.
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support organizational planning and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support for project evaluations and capital expenditures.
- Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to streamline processes, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance data accessibility.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics to identify trends and inform management of potential risks and opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation for audits by external parties, ensuring all documentation is organized and readily available for review.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, proactively adjusting practices to ensure compliance.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential for a strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles.
- Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are highly preferred, demonstrating commitment to excellence and expertise in the field.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a corporate environment, is required.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is crucial for efficient financial management and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory, including advanced functions like VLOOKUP and pivot tables for data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills are essential to interpret financial data and identify trends that impact business decisions.
- Excellent attention to detail is critical to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with regulations.
- Effective communication skills are necessary to collaborate with team members and present financial information clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines is key to success in this role.
- Bilingual candidates with proficiency in English and another language are preferred, enhancing communication in diverse environments.
