Roles & Responsibilities

  • Job Summary:
  • The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the company s accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role involves supervising junior accountants, preparing financial statements, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and has strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Oversee daily accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report financial performance and variances against budget.
  • Provide management with insights to support financial planning, forecasting, and decision-making.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with local tax laws, audits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Supervise, mentor, and guide junior accountants and accounting staff.
  • Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing accuracy, efficiency, and automation within the finance department.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3 to 6 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Proven experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an office environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
