Roles & Responsibilities

Knowledge:

  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures, including but not limited to debits, credits, journal entries, and ledger reconciliation
  • Familiarity with financial accounting statements (e.g., Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement) and their components
  • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Skills

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and solve problems effectively
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to work, ensuring accuracy in all financial records and reports
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members and other departments

Technical Proficiency:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with accounting software
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying and resolving accounting issues

  • Integrity: High level of professionalism and ethical conduct when handling sensitive financial information

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's (BS) degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field from an accredited institution

Requirements :

  • 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Understanding of relevant financial regulations and compliance (e.g., tax regulations, internal controls)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively in a team setting
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow within the accounting profession
