Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Issuance: Prepare and issue invoices for clients, ensure accuracy and due dates, and follow up on collections. Update invoices and receipts in the accounting system, reconciling statements periodically. Ensure all invoices comply with local tax law.
  • Client Account Monitoring: Track accounts receivable, verify client balances, and follow up on timely payments. Communicate with clients regarding delayed payments and prepare customer aging reports to ensure collection of overdue amounts.
  • Expense Recording: Record all miscellaneous expenses in the accounting system, reconciling vendor statements periodically. Classify expenses appropriately (operational, administrative, etc.), verify invoices match payments, and obtain quotations from vendors as required. Prepare and get LPOs approved.
  • Bank Account Management: Monitor bank accounts including balance verification, transaction tracking, and related document management. Reconcile bank records with accounting records, manage cash flows to ensure stability, and prepare weekly cash flow statements. Record all bank payments and receipts daily and track PDC clearance.
  • Tax filing / reports: Prepare and ensure timely filing of quarterly/monthly VAT reports. Prepare reports for Corporate Tax, Zakat Tax, and Withholding Tax filings.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Provide financial analysis to management on the company s financial performance.
  • Corporate Audit: Liaise with external auditors to complete corporate tax audits. Prepare all requested schedules/reports and assist in resolving audit-related queries.
  • Other matters: Maintain payroll sheets, leave salary, and other allowances. Maintain employee attendance records. Reconcile intercompany transactions periodically and coordinate with HO for intercompany transaction reconciliation. Perform any other duties as assigned by management. Take periodic backups of the accounting system and maintain copies of all invoices and company documents in a common folder for HO sharing.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Requirements (Must-Haves)
  • 3+ years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in a corporate or agency setting. Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle Financials) and MS Excel.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and tax regulations in Egypt.
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
