Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE

The purpose of this role is to manage the financial activities of the residential community, ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping, support budgeting and reporting cycles, monitor payments and receivables, and maintain strong financial controls in line with company policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare yearly and quarterly budgets in coordination with the Finance Manager and relevant departments.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
  • Track and record community fee collections and ensure alignment with approved schedules.
  • Process invoices, verify supporting documents, and coordinate with Procurement and Operations for timely payments.
  • Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks and resolve discrepancies with internal teams or residents.
  • Support audits by preparing necessary schedules, documents, and clarifications.
  • Generate periodic financial reports required by management.
  • Assist in implementing financial policies, internal controls, and standard operating procedures.
  • Liaise with the PRO and other departments whenever financial documentation is required for government submissions.
  • Monitor and report on budget performance, variances, and cost-saving opportunities.
    Regular business hours cannot always define the typical 48-hour work week; occasional evening or weekend work may be required.

Desired Candidate Profile

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within a residential community, property management, or service-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of UAE accounting practices is an advantage.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Experience with accounting or ERP software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prepare clear financial reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and explain findings to managers and stakeholders.
  • Good command of English.
  • Arabic is an advantage.
