Roles & Responsibilities

Accounts Manager Dubai (CA Required)

Location: Dubai, UAE
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reports to: Head of Finance / CFO
Employment Type: Full-time, on-site (with occasional travel)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to lead our finance operations in Dubai. The ideal candidate is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with proven managerial experience, strong command of IFRS, and hands-on exposure to UAE tax and statutory compliance. You will own monthly close, reporting, cash flow, audits, and team leadership while partnering with business leaders to drive profitability and control.


Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Control & Closing
    • Own monthly/quarterly/year-end close, trial balance integrity, and reconciliations (banks, AR/AP, inventory, intercompany).
    • Prepare MIS packs: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, variance analysis, and commentary.
  • Compliance & Governance
    • Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT (returns, refunds, reconciliations), and UAE Corporate Tax (calculations, filings, documentation).
    • Oversee statutory, external, and internal audits; manage audit schedules and timely closure of observations.
    • Maintain policies/SOPs for procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, record-to-report; enforce internal controls and approval matrices.
  • Treasury & Working Capital
    • Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, facilities, LC/BG where applicable.
    • Drive collections, credit control, and DSO improvement; optimize payables without risking supply continuity.
  • Budgeting & Business Partnering
    • Lead annual budget and rolling forecasts; track performance vs. AOP.
    • Partner with Sales, Supply Chain, and HR on pricing, margins, inventory, and payroll compliance.
  • Systems & Process Excellence
    • Own ERP/finance system hygiene (master data, closing calendars, dashboards).
    • Identify automation opportunities; drive process simplification and accuracy.
  • Team Leadership
    • Manage and mentor a finance team (Accountants/AR/AP/GL); set goals, review performance, and upskill the team.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) ICAI or equivalent chartered body (strict requirement).
  • Experience: 8 12+ years total, including minimum 3 5 years in a managerial role leading finance teams in the UAE or Nigeria, preferably from Manufacturing and trading industry
  • Technical: IFRS expertise; UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance exposure; strong controllership and audit handling.
  • Tools: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets; proficiency with an ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Dynamics, Tally, Odoo).
  • Soft Skills: Leadership, stakeholder management, analytical problem-solving, high ownership, and impeccable attention to detail.
  • Eligibility: Already based in the UAE or willing to relocate; ability to work with external auditors, banks, and regulators.

Nice to Have

  • Industry experience in power/energy/electrical or capital-equipment distribution.
  • Experience with multi-entity or cross-border intercompany accounting.
  • Data/BI reporting (e.g., Power BI, Looker Studio) for management dashboards.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Timely and accurate monthly close; audit completion without major findings.
  • VAT/Corporate Tax filings on time; zero penalties.
  • Forecast accuracy (cash flow & P&L); working-capital improvements (DSO/DPO/Inventory turns).
  • Process adherence and control maturity (SOPs, RACI, approval matrices).
  • Team performance, retention, and capability uplift.
