Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

As AC Technician you play a critical role in installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems to ensure indoor comfort and air quality. This position requires a strong technical background, HVAC expertise, and a commitment to providing top-notch service.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in HVAC systems is preferred.

Desired Candidate Profile

Training/Experience:

Proven experience as an AC Technician with a strong background in HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair.

Knowledge of HVAC equipment, refrigeration systems, electrical circuits, and control systems.

Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

EPA 608 Universal Certification is a plus

Key Responsibilities

Installation:

Install new air conditioning systems, including air handlers, condensers, and ductwork, ensuring they meet design specifications and local building codes.

Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance on AC systems, including cleaning, replacing filters, and inspecting components to prevent breakdowns and optimize efficiency.

Repairs:

Diagnose and troubleshoot AC system issues and develop effective repair solutions. This includes fixing refrigerant leaks, replacing faulty parts, and addressing electrical or mechanical problems.

Refrigerant Handling:

Properly handle, recover, and recycle refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations.

Preventive Measures:

Advise customers on energy-saving and maintenance tips, as well as recommending upgrades to improve system performance.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of service and repairs, including the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Safety:

Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment and adhere to industry-specific regulations.

Customer Service:

Interact with customers professionally, explaining the scope of work, providing cost estimates, and addressing their concerns.

Continuous Learning:

Stay updated with the latest HVAC technologies, industry trends, and certifications to improve skills and knowledge

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and components (up to 50 pounds).
Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces, rooftops, and outdoor conditions.
Good hand-eye coordinationand dexterity for intricate repair task
